ACTION ITEMS: (action needed is highlighted)

  • Monday, March 3, 9-10a, Anishinaabe Theater, federal research projects Q&A for being solution oriented and exploring possibilities, even if not currently possible. RCA and GCA will be present. Many questions I’ve received are about the following:
    • Provide information on the process of how grants work on campus once awarded to PI (line of credit/reimbursement by agency model).
    • Basic principles of operation (payroll will happen for work done, timely input of reimbursements).
    • Shared vision toward alleviating barriers (what is allowed, and when, to prepurchase; internal grant review compliance process if necessary; furloughs/payroll deductions on short-term shifts)
    • Support structures for keeping up with changes, notifications, potential halts.

INFORMATIONAL ITEMS:

  • Vote to change constitution passed with 70% of vote supporting change; sent to SBHE for final steps.
  • NDSU Shared Governance committee has a weekly meeting on Wednesdays at 2p. Faculty, Staff, and Student leaders meet with appropriate administrative leaders.
  • FS Legislative Communication Committee will be helping address NDSU faculty responses as needed. They are Ahmed Alrasasi, Akshaya Bhagavatula, Karla Haug.
  • SBHE has set a weekly legislative update meeting on Fridays at 2p. You can find the agenda for all meetings at https://ndus.edu/sbhe-overview/agendas-minutes-videos/
