About Us

Dr. Michael D. Robinson, who has been at North Dakota State University for over 20 years, is a broad psychologist who studies personality, emotion, social behavior, and self-regulation from a diversity of perspectives. He is the primary investigator and director of the Personality, Perception, and Affect Lab.

He has edited books on mindfulness, personality, emotion, and well-being, among other topics. Current directions involve personality and emotion, conceptual metaphor, and experimental approaches to embodiment and assessment. Michael’s work has been funded by NSF, NIH, and Sanford Research.

Broader Impacts to ND: Michael is currently partnering with NDSU’s College of Business to improve delivery services to rural ND communities.
