Michael and his graduate students are studying a variety of topics at the interface between personality psychology, social psychology, emotion, and cognition. Current projects focus on metaphor and embodiment (e.g., Robinson, Irvin, Wu, & Fetterman, 2024), personality and assessment (e.g., Robinson, Irvin, Asad, Fereidouni, Rahier, & Lawrence, 2025), within-person processes and dynamics (e.g., Robinson, Fereidouni, Vohra, & Asad, 2025), and relationships of various types (e.g., Persich Durham, Bergstrom, Towers, & Robinson, 2023).
