Resident Assistants

Position Overview

Resident Assistants (RAs) help to fulfill the Department of Residence Life mission to create a vibrant, healthy place to live and learn. RAs care for residents by helping create connections, offering resources and support, and engaging in hall and campus activities. 

Any student (undergrad or graduate) that is enrolled at NDSU full time may be an RA. To be an RA you must have a cumulative and semester GPA of 2.5. Students needing credit-bearing internships, practicums, or student teaching beyond 15 hours a week may not be an RA.

RA Position Description 2022/2023


Apps are due by July 1, 2022. Interviews will be scheduled on a rolling basis - the sooner you complete your application, the sooner Residence Life will reach out to schedule your interview for consideration. Offers will be extended until all positions have been filled for the 2022-2023 academic year, at which time remaining eligible applicants will be placed in our pool for priority consideration for any openings that may come available during the academic year.
