The Department of Residence Life supports students by providing a vibrant, healthy place to live and learn.


August 18 | 8am - 1pm. Check-out the most important information you need to know for move-in day. 

On move-in day, it is important to follow the driving directions provided here. Do NOT use your GPS to get you to campus or to your Residence Hall. 

Welcome Week activities for first-year students begin at 5pm on move-in day with dinner and community gatherings with your residence hall. Click here to start planning your first week at NDSU!

Residence Life is an Auxiliary Service at North Dakota State University.  As such, no state appropriated money is received.  Revenue received from room rental and apartment rent provides funding for current operations including but not limited to salaries & benefits, facility improvements & utilities, IT communications, staff training, debt retirement and marketing.
