Secure Spaces

  • Your space is secured around the clock with 24/7 locked buildings that require an NDSU ID for entry. Main entrances are monitored with security cameras.
  • Support is always nearby with Hall Directors and Resident Assistants (RAs) who live in the community, complete regular rounds, and are trained to respond to emergencies and concerns. We also work closely with University Police to keep all the halls safe.
  • Guest access is intentional with a policy that requires all visitors to be escorted by a resident, helping ensure a secure and accountable environment.
  • Safety is built into every building through annual inspections, fire safety protocols, and high-grade door locks on every room and suite.
  • Connections with campus police are part of the experience through the Police Liaison Program, which creates opportunities — like Coffee with a Cop — for students to interact with officers in a relaxed, approachable setting.
