The mission of the Center for Emergency Management Research (CEMER) is to advance emergency management’s development as an academic discipline and profession. This mission is articulated through three areas of activity—the first encompasses a range of activities related to education, the second includes research activities, and the third involves efforts to bring about synergy between emergency management training and education and emergency management scholarship and practice.
