Letters of Support

11 am - 1 pm
Memorial Union

Take a moment to spread kindness and support a fellow student who may be struggling with their mental health. At this event, students will have the opportunity to anonymously write an encouraging letter to remind another student that they are valued, supported, and not alone. No names or personal information are needed—just a few thoughtful words that could brighten someone’s day and let them know that someone cares. As a thank-you for participating and helping support our campus community, each student who completes a letter will receive a mental health care package.

Mental Health First Aid Training

9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

MHFA teaches you how to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. This training gives you the skills that you need to reach out and provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem and help connect them to the appropriate care. The blended learning option consists of participants completing a 2-hour self-paced online course, followed by a 5.5 hour in-person skills application instructor-led session. The self-paced online course must be completed prior to attending the in-person skills application session. Both sessions must be completed to obtain MHFA certification. Register on myndsu.
