The North Dakota State University Division of Performing Arts is pleased to offer a number of performance festivals for high school students.
36th Annual High School Choral Festival
October 4-5, 2026
This long-standing event is an opportunity for area high school choirs to work with NDSU music faculty and perform at an evening concert.
Woodwind Day

Join the woodwind faculty of North Dakota State University and invited guests for workshops and concerts focused on woodwind instruments.

Our annual Music Day through the NDSU Challey School of Music is a great way for high school juniors and seniors to get a feel for what it’s like to be a music student at NDSU by learning about ensembles, shadowing music students, touring our facilities, meeting faculty, and much more.
FM Honor Jazz Ensemble
December 1, 2026
The FM Honor Jazz Ensemble includes students in grades 9-12 enrolled in respective band programs from Moorhead, Park Christian, Fargo North, Fargo South, Davies, Oak Grove, Shanley, West Fargo, and Sheyenne high schools.The goal is to help enhance the jazz experience for instrumentalists in the FM area.
