Workshops and Events

Each spring, the Teaching and Learning Conference kicks off the theme for the upcoming academic year. That theme guides our Fall, Winter, and Spring workshop series, which include guest speakers, book studies, panel discussions, and more.

These sessions focus on practical, research-informed strategies to support your teaching. All events are free and open to NDSU instructors, staff, and graduate TAs.

2025-26 Theme

This year’s theme is student engagement. When students are actively involved in their learning, they think more critically, stay motivated, and retain what they learn. Engaged classrooms create stronger connections, deeper understanding, and better outcomes—for both students and instructors. These are all factors that positively impact student persistence and success at NDSU.
