Job Lab: Joy Fueled Problem-Solving

Join us for Joy Lab: Turning Problems into Possibilities, an engaging professional development experience designed to help NDSU employees learn practical problem-solving skills and reconnect with their purpose at work.

The two-hour session includes interactive discussions, team-building activities and a “choose your own adventure” approach that allows participants to focus on challenges most relevant to them—whether personal, departmental, or campus-wide.

Facilitated by Darcy Bakkegard of The Educators’ Lab, this interactive workshop blends reflection, collaboration and hands-on activities to help participants reduce work-related stress, increase productivity, and turn everyday challenges into actionable solutions.

  • Strategies to reduce burnout and support mental well-being
  • Tools to increase joy, creativity, and productivity at work
  • Guided problem-solving techniques to address real frustrations
  • Opportunities to connect and collaborate with colleagues across campus

  • Tangible takeaways, including a Joy Journal and gratitude activities
