Next Chapter is a college access and postsecondary preparation program in partnership with the NDSU Office of Admission and NDSU Extension 4-H Youth Development designed for North Dakota youth.
This unique opportunity will allow North Dakota students who are enrolled in 4-H the opportunity to kickstart their college and career preparation beginning in their 8th grade year. There are multiple benefits to students participating in the NDSU Next Chapter program including:
- Pre-admission to NDSU to increase awareness of NDSU and ensure students are college-ready. (Full admission to NDSU will be pending completion of admission requirements and the submission of an application in the fall semester of their senior year.)
- Early access to the NDSU application for admission.
- Gain important life skills including communication skills, financial savvy, and confidence to be college-ready.
- Participate in annual activities such as training and coaching on NDSU campus and at district admissions. Events and activities include career exploration, college exploration, financial literacy, goal setting, time management, academic strategies, financial aid, and other topics. As a result, students who participate in the NDSU Next Chapter program are fully prepared to transition to and succeed in college.
