Pesticide Laws

Description

The use of pesticides in North Dakota is based on federal law (the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act, or FIFRA) and state law (the North Dakota Pesticide Act). In North Dakota, the Department of Agriculture (NDDA) is charged with enforcement responsibilities. General policy decisions are left up to the North Dakota Pesticide Control Board.
