Career Information

Career preparation begins in the first year and continues throughout a student’s academic journey. From introductory lectures to advanced studio coursework, students are introduced to the architectural profession, career pathways and the steps required for professional success.

As students progress through the program, their understanding of the field expands through meaningful engagement with professionals, alumni and industry partners. Students are encouraged to explore the NDSU Career Outcomes Report and participate in campus career fairs to connect with employers.

  • Interaction with our departmental Advisory Board, composed of distinguished alumni representing firms across the country
  • Guest lectures from nationally and internationally recognized practitioners
  • Portfolio reviews conducted by alumni and faculty

  • An informal SoDAA reception each spring connecting students and employers

  • Resume and portfolio development assistance through the NDSU Career and Advising Center
