Abstract Submission Requirements

COBRE/AAPS invites researchers, practitioners, and students to submit abstracts for presentation at our upcoming symposium. Cash awards for the top two winners of poster session. Abstract submission deadline: June 12, 2026.

Follow the guidelines to avoid the resubmission of your abstract and submit through the Abstract Submission form.

  • Maximum: 300 words

  • Title, authors, and affiliations are excluded from the word count.

Required Abstract Structure

Abstracts must contain the following sections:

  • Background

  • Methods

  • Results

  • Conclusions

Unstructured abstracts will not be accepted.

Title Guidelines

  • Maximum: 25 words

  • Use sentence case

  • Avoid excessive abbreviations

  • Titles should clearly communicate: The scientific system/model, intervention or approach, and principal finding.

Author & Affiliation Format

Include:

  • Full author names

  • Institutional affiliations

  • Presenting author underlined

Figures & Tables

  • Up to one figure OR one table may be included

  • Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, TIFF

    • Minimum resolution: 300 dpi

Figures and tables must:

  • Be clear and legible, include labels and statistical indicators when applicable, fit within a single page.

Important Scientific Requirements

Results are mandatory

Abstracts lacking experimental results may be rejected.

Quantitative data strongly encouraged

Whenever applicable, authors should include:

  • sample size (n),

  • statistical significance,

  • fold-change,

  • percentage changes,

  • or numerical outcomes

The following should be avoided

  • “Results will be discussed”

  • “Future studies will evaluate”

  • unsupported conclusions

  • vague statements without data

  • excessive methodological detail

  • undefined abbreviations

Abstract Acceptance Policy

The Scientific Committee reserves the right to reject abstracts that do not meet minimum scientific, formatting, or submission quality standards.

Scientific Significance & Rationale (20)

Evaluation of scientific importance, rationale, clarity of objectives or hypothesis, and relevance to pharmaceutical sciences.

Methodological Rigor (20)

Evaluation of appropriateness of methods, experimental design quality, and controls and statistical approaches.

Quality of Results & Data Interpretation (25)

Evaluation of data quality, quantitative reporting, interpretation accuracy, and whether conclusions are supported by results.

Innovation & Translational Impact (20)

Evaluation of novelty, therapeutic relevance, translational potential, and advancement of pharmaceutical sciences.

Clarity & Scientific Writing (15)

Evaluation of organization, grammar, readability, and concise scientific communication.
