Volunteer for Homecoming
We need YOU! Staff, faculty and community members help make Homecoming run smoothly.
Homecoming is a time for the entire NDSU community to celebrate our contributions as a top 100 public research university while enjoying successful athletics in a great community.
The Homecoming Committee is seeking volunteers Sept. 28 - Oct. 3, 2026. Please consider volunteering for one or more shifts throughout the week.
Volunteers are needed in the following areas:
Homecoming Kick Off
Monday, Sept. 28
11:15 a.m.-1:45 p.m.
Serve ice cream.
Inauguration Processional & Lunch
Thursday, Oct. 1
8:30 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Direct external attendees to ceremony/lunch parking in T-2 lot. Monitor lot and direct overflow to T and TA lots as needed.
- Help processional participants park in their specified lot and ensure no one else parks in those spots.
- Store and return personal items for processional participants.
- Serve meal, assist at beverage station, greet attendees and/or clean tables.
Blood Drive
Thursday, Oct. 1
10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Check in donors.
Bison Trivia
Thursday, Oct. 1
7-8 p.m.
Track points for trivia participants.
Bison Bash
Friday, Oct. 2
3:45-6:30 p.m.
Assist with event activities.
Parade
Friday, Oct. 2
4:45-7:15 p.m.
Assist with traffic and crowd control and parade cleanup.
Student Tailgate
Saturday, Oct. 3
11 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Help with setup, serving food and event support.
