Milling Lab

The Milling Lab is dedicated to advancing research and process optimization in wheat milling, serving as an essential step in evaluating overall wheat quality. Our work focuses on producing high-quality flour samples for subsequent testing in our research labs, ensuring consistency, precision, and reliability throughout the entire quality assessment process.

The lab features advanced milling systems, including a Bühler mill, a Quadrumat Junior mill, a Perten Laboratory mill, a stone mill, and precision sifters for refined flour separation. These tools enable the production of refined and whole wheat flour, each tailored to specific research objectives and experimental designs.

By maintaining meticulous control over milling parameters and flour characteristics, the Milling Lab supports comprehensive studies on wheat processing and end-use quality. Our research-driven approach strengthens broader wheat quality investigations, bridging the connection between grain science, flour functionality, and baking performance.
