Official NDSU Logos

NDSU employees and student organizations may use the logos for marketing and promotional purposes. Anyone outside NDSU wishing to use the logo should request permission by sending an email to ndsu.services.marcomm@ndsu.edu.

All NDSU departments, centers and academic units are required to follow consistent university branding guidelines and may not create additional logos. See the Departmental Logos section for more information.

Usage Guidelines

• The NDSU logo should always be used as provided and never recreated, altered, stretched or combined with other elements.
• All versions are graphics, not typed text, and may be resized proportionally but not distorted.
• Adequate clear space should be maintained around the logo to ensure it remains legible and visually distinct from other elements.

Departmental Logos

Logos are provided in two forms: stacked and single-line. Approved department logo options follow the official NDSU logo designs.

When using a department logo on brochures, posters or other marketing materials, it is strongly encouraged to include “North Dakota State University” spelled out elsewhere on the page.

With the exception of Athletics, no departments, centers or academic units should use the Bison mascot logo.

Athletics Mascot

Bison mascot logos are trademarked and owned by NDSU Athletics. They may only be used for Athletics-related materials or with permission from Athletics. Questions or requests regarding athletic logo use should be directed to Troy Goergen at troy.m.goergen@ndsu.edu.
