Derek Lehmberg, assistant professor of management, had his case study, “Fisdap: The Nursing Opportunity,” accepted for publication in the fall 2014 Case Research Journal.

Lehmberg developed the case based on field research with Headwaters Software Inc., a St. Paul, Minn.-based company that provides software solutions to educators and students in the emergency medical services fields. The case looked at whether the company should expand its Fisdap software to the nursing education market.

Lehmberg said the case was primarily intended for classroom use in strategic management courses, although it could be used in classes on entrepreneurship.

Case Research Journal, a blind reviewed publication, was ranked the highest of any case journal according to Academy of Management Learning and Education.

NDSU is recognized as one of the nation's top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
