Interim registrar named

Rhonda Kitch, associate registrar, has been appointed interim registrar. She will take over her new duties on May 20.

Kitch succeeds Kristi Wold-McCormick, who has accepted the position of university registrar at the University of Colorado-Boulder.

Kitch joined NDSU in August 1999 in the Office of Admission as an admission counselor, before being promoted to assistant director of admission in 2001. In 2004, she moved to the Office of Registration and Records as assistant registrar. Kitch was named associate registrar in 2007.

She also has held positions at Minnesota State University Moorhead, Mayville State University and Minot State University.

A search committee has been formed to fill the registrar position. Committee members include chair Casey Peterson, director of Student Success; David Wittrock, dean of the Graduate School; RaNelle Ingalls, associate registrar; Larry Peterson, director of accreditation, assessment and academic advising; Mike Ellingson, director of Facilities Management; Marc Wallman, interim vice president for information technology and chief information officer; Steffani Johnston, student; Carla Gross, associate dean and chair of nursing; Lynn Dorn, women’s athletic director; and Harlene Hatterman-Valenti, associate professor of plant science.

NDSU is recognized as one of the nation's top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
