Om Prakash Yadav, associate professor of industrial and manufacturing engineering, was recognized for outstanding contributions and service during the Institute of Industrial Engineers annual conference, held in Montreal, Canada, May 31-June 4.

Yadav was presented a plaque by the organization’s Quality Control and Reliability Engineering Division. Yadav served as division president and as a board member for the past five years. During his tenure as division president, he collected $5,000 in donations from various organizations and individuals and started the research conference’s best paper and best student paper awards for division members.

“It was great honor to lead one of the biggest divisions of the IIE and start new awards and activities,” Yadav said. “It also gave opportunities to highlight and show the potential of NDSU during these big events.”

NDSU is recognized as one of the nation's top 108 public and private universities by the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education.
