SHARE

NDSU's Military and Veterans Services is scheduled to host suicide prevention training through Living Works' Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, known as ASIST. The training is set for Saturday, Feb. 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Memorial Union.

Registration is limited to 45 participants. The non-refundable registration fee is $40 per participant. The training will be open to the community, but priority will be given to NDSU students, faculty and staff.

Participants will take part in small group discussions and skills practice that are based upon adult learning principles, see videos on suicide intervention and learn suicide first aid. They will receive an ASIST certificate upon completion of the full two-day training.
