SHARE

The NDSU Horticulture and Forestry Club won team and individual awards at an undergraduate competition held during the American Society for Horticultural Science annual conference Aug. 8-11 in Atlanta. The team earned third place overall. Team members were Andrew Scheldorf, Connor Hagemeyer, Josie Schmitz, Anne Gatzke and Nick Rajtar. Scheldorf and Hagemeyer also placed first and third, respectively, in the general knowledge exam.

The undergraduate competition brings national recognition for the NDSU horticulture program and also gives students a chance to network and be introduced to opportunities for advanced degrees.

The NDSU Horticulture and Forestry Club advisers are Harlene Hatterman-Valenti, professor and assistant department head, and Todd West, associate professor and horticulture undergraduate program coordinator.
