NDSU Art Cinema Series presents 'Nijinsky'

SHARE

The NDSU Art Cinema Series, a partnership with the NDSU Department of Visual Arts and the Fargo Theatre, will continue April 6 with the showing of “Nijinsky: Diaries of Vaslav Nijinsky.” The film will run at 7 p.m. at the Fargo Theatre. Tickets are $5.

Nijinsky was the Polish star of the Ballets Russes and this film recreates his most famous roles. The only sound is the voice of actor Derek Jacobi reading pertinent verses from Nijinsky’s 1919 diaries that were written as he was losing his sanity in a Swiss asylum.

The NDSU Art Cinema Series presents an intelligent and unique film once a month at the Fargo Theatre. The series ends on May 4 with a film titled “Edvard Munch.”
