NDSU junior A.J. Jacobson was voted to the CoSIDA Academic All-America first team in men’s basketball. The announcement was made March 2 by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Jacobson is the first Bison to earn first-team Academic All-America honors in men’s basketball since Brett Winkelman was named Academic All-American of the Year in 2009. Jacobson was a third-team honoree last season as a sophomore.
Jacobson, who is from Fargo, has a 3.99 cumulative GPA with a zoology/pre-dentistry major. He has 1,050 career points and ranks second on the Bison in rebounds, assists and blocks this season.
