Central Grasslands field tour set

SHARE

NDSU’s Central Grasslands Research Extension Center near Streeter, N.D., will hold its 28th annual field tour on Wednesday, June 24, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. A free roast beef dinner will follow the tour at the center.

Topics for this year's event include an evaluation of select perennial grasses and legumes for biofuel production, integrating short- and full-season stocker grazing to manage cool-season grass species and forage-finished beef production, and maintaining the diversity of native rangelands in the Missouri Coteau.

The center is four miles north of Streeter or 11 miles south of Interstate 94 on North Dakota Highway 30. From Highway 30, turn onto 48th Street and go five miles west to 48th Avenue and then one-quarter mile south.
