IT Division names assistant managers

NDSU’s Information Technology Division has promoted Michael Aho to the position of assistant manager of the IT Help Desk and Steve Beckermann to assistant manager for Learning and Applied Innovation.
 
Aho has worked as a consultant at the Help Desk since September 2009. In his new role, he assists with managing the day-to-day operations of the Help Desk, which provides technical assistance to students, staff and faculty at NDSU and within the North Dakota University System. Aho earned an associate’s degree in microcomputers and networking from Northwest Technical College, Moorhead, Minn., and a bachelor’s degree in agriculture and animal science from NDSU.
 
Beckermann joined the IT Division in June 2008 as a classroom technology specialist and later transferred to the position of media technologies consultant. As assistant manager for Learning and Applied Innovation, Beckermann collaborates with staff in the Learning and Applied Innovation workgroup and the Office of Teaching and Learning to guide the effective use of technology in curriculum development and improve student learning outcomes. He earned a master’s degree in instructional design from the University of North Dakota and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Minnesota State University, Moorhead.
