IT Division hires desktop support technician

NDSU’s Information Technology Division has hired a new desktop support technician.

Francisco Hidalgo Ashbaugh received an associate of applied science degree in Information Technology from Minnesota State Technical and Community College and is currently working on a double major in network technology administration and security.

Prior to joining the IT Division, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service. He also has provided customer service and technical support at ACS Xerox Solutions and computer technical support and troubleshooting at Technological and Universal Center.

His work in the desktop support unit includes tasks involved in basic computer setups, basic computer configuration, peripheral and software installation, and the unpacking and delivery of equipment. He reports to Lincoln Bathie, desktop support manager.
