NDSU community asked to participate in bake sale

SHARE

The Division of Equity, Diversity, and Global Outreach has planned a bake sale for Tuesday, Dec. 15, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Memorial Union. Students, faculty and staff are asked to bake their favorite holiday treats from their home countries, cultures and traditions to share with the NDSU campus.

For people who would like to participate, but do not have access to a kitchen, the facility located in the Equity and Diversity Center will be available. The center will provide eggs, baking powder, baking soda, salt, flour, sugar, cinnamon, brown sugar, chocolate, butter and oil. Contact Kara Gravely–Stack, center director, at kara.gravely-stack@ndsu.edu to sign up for a time to use the kitchen on Monday or Tuesday of the bake sale week.

Students, staff and faculty who are interested in participating should send an e-mail indicating what they will be bringing to Lianne Lackey at lianne.lackey@ndsu.edu by Friday, Dec. 4. Volunteers also are being sought to take shifts at the table during the sale. To sign up for a shift, send an e-mail to lianne.lackey@ndsu.edu.

The money raised at the bake sale will go toward the Winter Coat Drive, also organized by the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Global Outreach.
