Network engineering, operations director named

Pete Lambertz has been named director of network engineering and operations for the NDSU IT Division. He took over his new duties on Jan. 14.

Lambertz earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from NDSU. Before joining the IT Division, he worked at Clinical Supplies Management as the global information technology director. Prior to that he was as director of information technologies at Noridian/Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota, where he was director of enterprise architecture and manager of enterprise security. 

His recent work experience also includes serving as associate director, director and vice president of information technologies at PRACS Institute, and as consultant, manager and regional director for Eide Bailly Technology Consulting.

NDSU’s Network Engineering and Operations designs, installs and maintains all network and telecommunications infrastructure required to provide a reliable, stable and flexible state-of-the-art communications architecture. Lambertz’ responsibilities include providing vision and leadership for network engineering efforts at NDSU and providing architectural guidance.
