The student-produced “SU TV Newscast” now has a regular broadcast schedule. The newscast airs on Mondays at 7 p.m. and Saturdays at 10:30 a.m. on the CableOne city of Fargo public access channel 99.
"The students are working hard and learning a tremendous amount about what is involved in producing a television newscast. They are doing a great job, and I am excited that others are now able to watch,” said Rich Lodewyk, broadcast program director and lecturer of communication.
According to Lodewyk, the students produce the show on Thursday evenings, with rehearsal at 7 p.m. and final taping at 8 p.m.
“The newscast being shown on the city of Fargo public access channel is a way for the rest of the NDSU campus and the community to see what the Bison Information Network students are doing, and to show the momentum this student organization is gaining,” Lodewyk said.
