President Hanson invites participation in commencement exercises

SHARE

President Richard A. Hanson invites the NDSU community to participate in the 2010 spring commencement. The graduate ceremony will be Friday, May 14, at 4 p.m. and the undergraduate ceremony will be Saturday, May 15, at 10 a.m. Both ceremonies will be at the Fargodome.

“Commencement is one of the most significant events in the annual cycle of an educational community. It is a positive symbol of individual success, family and community pride and faculty and staff support,” Hanson said in an e-mail to faculty and staff. "Graduates and their families look forward to faculty and staff presence on this momentous day."

Faculty will march by academic rank and seniority. Faculty and staff who wish to participate in the academic processional must wear academic regalia. If you need a cap and gown, contact Beverly Hirn at 1-7827.

Please indicate your commencement participation at www.ndsu.edu/commencement/participation by Friday, April 30.

Faculty Marshall Edward Deckard will coordinate the faculty and staff processional. A tentative processional list will be e-mailed to faculty and staff the week of the ceremony.
