SHARE

Timothy J. Kloberdanz, North Dakota State University anthropology coordinator, will present a World I View presentation on Thursday, April 29, from noon to 1 p.m. in Memorial Union Century Theater. Titled "A Cultural Odyssey: Germans from Russia in the 21st Century," Kloberdanz will share research gathered during the past four decades in countries including the former USSR, Germany, Austria, France, the Netherlands, Mexico and parts of Canada and the United States.

Millions of people who trace their ancestry back to Germans from Russia now live and work all over the world. The largest German-Russian immigration movement occurred in recent years and the colonization efforts in North America have not yet ended. Even today, numerous German-Russian agricultural colonies continue to be established here in the Upper Midwest.

World I View presentations cover international topics and are presented to the NDSU and Fargo-Moorhead community. Speakers include students, faculty and staff who will share their experiences on a broad range of global themes. The Office of International Programs sponsors the presentations.
