McMullen named ‘Boss of the Year’

The Red River Chapter of International Association of Administrative Professionals has named Marcia McMullen, Extension plant pathologist, as its “IAAP Boss of the Year.” She will be honored at a celebration and networking breakfast Oct. 12 from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Ramada Plaza Suites, 1635 42nd St. S., Fargo.

McMullen is responsible for management information on cereal diseases and is the Integrated Pest Management coordinator for the NDSU Extension Service. She is responsible for hard red spring wheat, winter wheat, durum wheat, barley, oat, rye, and corn. In addition to outreach to producers and the agricultural industry, McMullen conducts applied research in cultural and chemical management of cereal diseases, co-coordinates an IPM pest survey and coordinates the Eastern Crop Scout School.
