Study Abroad Scholarship established to honor Mehta

SHARE

The Division of Equity, Diversity, and Global Outreach has established a study abroad scholarship in memory of Sudhir Mehta.

Mehta, associate vice president for academic affairs, died unexpectedly Aug. 8 in India. He joined NDSU’s mechanical engineering department in 1984, and he passionately promoted NDSU around the world, especially in India and Southeast Asia. He encouraged NDSU students to study abroad and facilitated the process for students to study at Ansal Institute of Technology in India.

The student selected for the scholarship will be announced at the Green and Golden Globe Awards ceremony on April 27. Donations are being solicited for the scholarship and can be sent to the Development Foundation
