James Clifton, assistant professor of accounting practice, and Chanchai Tangpong, associate professor of management, were named Eisele Teaching Fellows at the College of Business annual Honors and Awards Reception Sept. 24. They will each hold the title for three years (2010-13) and receive an annual stipend.

The Eisele Teaching Fellow was established to recognize C. Frederick Eisele, a well-known professor who was instrumental in the lives of his students and the early life of the college. The award, established in 2007, recognizes excellence in teaching in the College of Business. It is presented to members of the college teaching staff who demonstrate the characteristics of an outstanding teacher that are associated with the model established by Eisele.

Herb Snyder, associate professor of accounting, was awarded first prize in the 2010 AACSB Innovation in Business Education Award competition at the Mid-Continent East Business Administration Association annual meeting, Oct. 1-12, in Chicago. Snyder received a cash prize of $1,000 and the college received a matching cash award. The award was presented in recognition of the forensic accounting program.
