Center for Protease Research plans open house

The Center for Protease Research has scheduled an open house for Thursday, Oct. 28, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Both the Core Synthesis and Core Biology Laboratories will be open to show appreciation to existing clients and inform prospective users about the center’s capabilities.

Everyone is welcome to tour the labs, ask questions and enjoy refreshments.

Yonghua Yang, research scientist in the chemistry and biochemistry department, will be available in the Core Synthesis Facility, Dunbar 156. Jodie Haring, research assistant professor of chemistry and biochemistry, and Naomi Light, laboratory assistant in chemistry and biochemistry, will be available in the Core Biology Facility, in IACC 316.

The Center for Protease Research is in its eighth year of funding, provided by a COBRE grant from the National Institutes of Health. Mukund Sibi, distinguished professor of chemistry and biochemistry, is the program director. The laboratories are available for scientists for research, data analysis and consultations.
