A series of upcoming virtual jobs fairs will give NDSU students and alumni an opportunity to explore internships and career opportunities.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the events will be held virtually, with employer and student registrations happening in CAREERLINK and the actual meeting on the platform that employers are used to such as Teams, Zoom, WebEx or GoToMeeting.

More than 200 employers are participating in the fairs.

“Given the nature of virtual fairs and the capabilities and parameters of our platform, the optimal solution for the focus area for each fair lay at the intersection of majors, exploratory areas and industry. This approach allows students to explore various companies that may not seem evident to the major they are studying, although the student may have the required skills. At the same time, it helps employers with cross-disciplinary hiring and maintain our vison of ‘career everywhere,” Smita Garg, Career and Advising Center assistant director of employer engagement. “One thing we have learned now more than ever, is that we have a valuable tool to connect NDSU students with employers in CAREERLINK, NDSU’s Career Management System.”
