Fall at NDSU: soaking up the season

SHARE

Fall semester is truly something special at NDSU. The lively school spirit, beautiful campus atmosphere, welcoming community and fresh fall air are a few things we love about the season.

Here are some things to enjoy on NDSU’s campus this fall:

Hammock and study

Our campus is a beautiful place year-round, but especially this fall. Bring your hammock, grab your books and hang out in the trees on a sunny afternoon. Our students find this one of the best ways to unwind and enjoy the outdoors.

Churchill Field

Unwind with a game of spike-ball or toss a frisbee with a friend on Churchill Field, right outside of the STEM building. Or, bring a blanket and have a picnic with a friend on a sunny fall afternoon.

Bison Pride Friday

Show your school spirit every Friday by wearing your NDSU gear. If you tie-dyed a shirt at NDSU 2020 Welcome Week, show off your creativity! You’ll find people on and off campus participating in this fun tradition. Bison pride is everywhere in Fargo. Stop by the NDSU Bookstore in the Memorial Union to pick up some new Bison gear.

Campus Energy

You just can’t beat campus life in the fall. You’ll find the leaves changing, students out and about enjoying the weather, playing games between classes and relaxing outdoors. You’ll want take a photo of the surrounding beauty every time you step outside. Grab a to-go lunch from the food court and relax by the Babbling Brook.

Enjoy a warm, fall-inspired drink

Stop by Caribou Coffee in the Memorial Union for a warm fall-inspired treat. Some favorites include the pumpkin white mocha, spiced pumpkin cold brew and the pumpkin pie nitro. Enjoy half-price pastries from 4 p.m. to close every day.

Thundar’s Game Room

Thundar's Game Room, located in the basement of the Memorial Union, boasts eight new bowling lanes with automatic scoring, nine pool tables, one table tennis platform, one 16-foot shuffleboard table, foosball table and an air hockey machine. If you haven’t heard yet, eSports, billiards and bowling are free all fall semester.

Free Events

Each month, Campus Attractions at NDSU hosts free events including hypnotists, concerts, speakers, late night entertainment and movies. Head to the Great Plains Ballroom in the Memorial Union on Friday, Oct. 30, from 9:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. for a full night of Halloween fun.
