SHARE

NDSU will host a flag-raising ceremony in honor of Veterans Day at 8:05 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 10, outside the south entrance of the Memorial Union. Veterans Day is Friday, Nov. 11, the anniversary of the armistice that ended World War I in 1918.

The flag will be raised by the Army ROTC color guard, and a member of the North Dakota National Guard will serve as trumpeter. Speakers will be NDSU President Dean L. Bresciani and retired Maj. Gen. Michael Haugen, former adjutant general of the North Dakota National Guard.

If it rains, the flag will be raised outside, and speakers will present in the Memorial Union Prairie Rose room.
