The 2011 College of Agriculture, Food Systems, and Natural Resources Scholarship Recognition Luncheon is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 10 at 11:30 a.m. in the Memorial Union Great Plains Ballroom. The annual event honors scholarship donors and scholarship recipients. Letters of invitation have been sent to all scholarship donors, college faculty and students receiving scholarships in the college.
Scheduled speakers include NDSU President Dean L. Bresciani; Provost Bruce Rafert; Michael Bjertness, crop and weed sciences student from Hickson, N.D., who represents student recipients; and Don Kirby, professor from the School of Natural Resource Sciences who represents scholarship donors. Jane Schuh, associate professor of veterinary and microbiological sciences, will introduce the donors and students.
The college has awarded more than 365 scholarships this academic year.
