Challey Institute schedules workshop

The Sheila and Robert Challey Institute for Global Innovation and Growth is slated to host the Human Progress and Flourishing Workshop at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 25, on Zoom.

Daniel Bennett, assistant professor of management and entrepreneurship at the Center for Free Enterprise at the University of Louisville, will present "Populist Discourse and Entrepreneurship: The Role of Political Ideology and Institutions."

Bennett will discuss the important factors that moderate the relationship between populist discourse and entrepreneurship. He will highlight extensive research that included 780,000 individuals in 33 countries from 2002 to 2016.

Bennett’s research expertise is economic development and entrepreneurial ecosystems. He was a research professor and Baylor University and received his doctorate in economics at Florida State University.

The Human Progress and Flourishing Workshop invites internationally renowned scholars from universities across the country to present their ideas and engage with the NDSU community. Learn more about the workshop and see a list of upcoming speakers at the Challey Institute website.

These events are free and open to all members of the NDSU community and the public. The workshop format includes a 40-minute presentation followed by audience question and answer session.
