First candidate for Information Technology VP scheduled to present

The first of three final candidates for the Vice President for Information Technology is scheduled to present a campus open forum. <link fileadmin news.ndsu.edu vp_it_candidates_cvs mark_roman_cv.pdf download-link>Mark Roman will discuss “Information Technology in Higher Education:  Where Are We Headed?” on Tuesday, Nov. 29, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Memorial Union Century Theater.

Roman was formerly the president and chief executive officer of Canada’s Advanced Research and Education Network and chief information officer of the University of Victoria, British Columbia. He will be on campus Nov. 27-29 to meet with NDSU officials.

The other candidates include <link fileadmin news.ndsu.edu vp_it_candidates_cvs lisa_feldner_cv.pdf download-link>Lisa Feldner, chief information officer for the Information Technology Department for the State of North Dakota, Bismarck, and <link fileadmin news.ndsu.edu vp_it_candidates_cvs wendy_woodward_king_cv.pdf download-link>Wendy Woodward, director for Technology Support Services at Northwestern University, Evanston, Ill. Their presentation schedules have not yet been finalized.

The selected candidate will succeed Bonnie Neas who is set to retire Dec. 15.
