NDSU advisers present at regional conference

Eleven NDSU professional advisers, faculty and staff made presentations at the National Academic Advising Association’s Region 6 conference, held May 1-3 in Sioux Falls, S.D. Approximately 250 professional and faculty advisers and administrators from North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Manitoba and Saskatchewan attended the event, which was themed “The Art of Advising.”

NDSU staff and professional advisers presented:

 

  • “Cut, Copy and Paste: Helping Students Visually Explore Links Between Majors and Careers” Dani Kvanvig-Bohnsack, Connie Eggers and Robert Dirk
  • “Coloring Outside the Lines: Advising Outside the Advising Session” Joan Krush, Kay Hopkins and Febina Mathew
  • “Finding a Fit: Connecting Advising Assessment to First-Year Experience” Polly Olson and Angie Walswick
  • “Sculpting a University Framework for Advising” Ranelle Ingalls, Susan Council and Joel Hanson
