Homecoming 2025 Residence Hall Spirit Point Competition

Experience NDSU Homecoming 2025! Each residence hall will compete for spirit points by attending events, creating a homecoming board, and showing Bison spirit. At each event, look for the homecoming spirit points table, where you will check in with your student ID!

RHA Float Assistance

Auxiliary Building (East side of building by the big garage doors. #75 on campus map)
Come help RHA create the homecoming float! Every individual who comes to help will receive 50 points/day.

September 18: 6-9 pm
September 19: 9 am - 12 pm
September 20: 10 am - 1 pm
September 21: 3:30-6 pm

Homecoming Boards

Each hall will decorate a plywood board to display hall spirit for Homecoming. Boards should be ready to display by Monday, September 22, so the NDSU Homecoming Committee can vote for the winners! 1st place: 200 pts; 2nd place: 150 pts; 3rd place: 100 pts.

Homecoming Medallion Hunt - September 22-26

Main Campus | 8 am - 2 pm

Location will be somewhere on the main campus everyone can get to (inside or outside).
Every day at 8 am, the first clue will be given, and another hint will be given every 2 hours until 2 pm. Hints will be given via the @NDSURHA Instagram. The team that finds a medallion first must turn it into the Residence Life Office in West Bison Court upon finding it. Please make sure at least two members of your team turn in the medallion and take a photo before you leave. Each medallion found will be worth 100 points.

Serve With the Herd - September 23

Various Locations | 10 am - 6 pm

Give back and help our community by signing up to volunteer at locations throughout Fargo/Moorhead. Participation percentage by hall: 1st place: 300 pts; 2nd place: 200 pts; 3rd place: 100 pts.

NRHH Gems of Gratitude - September 23

Grassy Area between Sevrinson & Thompson | 5-7 pm

A rock painting experience where students can spread positivity and appreciation through art. Paint a rock with a kind message or image, then place it around campus to brighten someone’s day and help create a culture of gratitude. Participation percentage by hall: 1st place: 100 pts; 2nd place: 75 pts; 3rd place: 50 pts.

Bison Trivia - September 24

Ballroom, Memorial Union | 8:30 pm (Sign-In at 8:15 pm)

Sit in teams and work together to answer Bison trivia! Points are given to the participation percentage by the hall and the winning hall. 1st place: 100 pts; 2nd place: 75 pts; 3rd place: 50 pts; trivia winner: 100 pts.

Homecoming Show - September 25

Festival Concert Hall

Come have some laughs and enjoy dances and skits by NDSU student organizations. Participation percentage by hall: 1st place: 300 pts; 2nd place: 200 pts; 3rd place: 100 pts.

Roll Herd Race - September 25

Churchill Field (sidewalk in front of AG Hill) | 5 pm

Think you’ve got Bison spirit and speed? Team up with a buddy and join the Roll Herd Race—a roller scooter relay where you’ll compete for Homecoming spirit points and ultimate bragging rights! Plus some Bison Swag for those who participate! Participation percentage by hall: 1st place: 100 pts; 2nd place: 75pts; 3rd place: 50 pts. The winning team receives an additional 100 Points for their hall.

Fore the Herd - September 26

Cater Multi-Purpose Room | 8:30-10:30 pm

Join us for a fun evening of minigolf, free snacks, and a chance to win one of our 3 exciting prize packs! This event is for PGA Pros, casual caddies, and everyone in between! Participation percentage by hall: 1st place: 100 pts; 2nd place: 75 pts; 3rd place: 50 pts.

Homecoming Parade - September 26

Corner of University and 17th Ave N. | 6 pm

The 2025 parade begins on the corner of University and 17th Ave. N., heading south before turning west on 12th Ave. Assist RHA & NRHH with handing out candy and earn points! Meet the RHA & NRHH Executive Board with the float at the FARGODOME North West Parking Lot at 5 pm. Participation percentage by hall: 1st place: 100 pts; 2nd place: 75 pts; 3rd place: 50 pts.

Student Tailgate - September 27

FARGODOME | 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Join us for a student tailgate celebration packed with free food, DJ Oreo, and fun. Participation percentage by hall: 1st place: 100 pts; 2nd place: 75 pts; 3rd place: 50 pts.
