Experience NDSU Homecoming 2023! Each residence hall will compete for spirit points by attending events, creating a homecoming board and showing Bison spirit. At each event, look for the homecoming spirit points table where you will check in with your student ID!

Events and Points

RHA Float Assistance | Sept. 24 from 3-8pm and Sept. 26 from 8-10pm
Auxiliary Building (East side of building by the big garage doors. #75 on campus map)
Come help RHA create the homecoming float! Every individual who comes to help will receive 25 points/day.

Homecoming Boards | Date/Time/Location (Ask your hall government rep!)
Each hall will decorate a plywood board to display hall spirit for Homecoming. Boards should be ready to display by Monday, Sept. 25 so the NDSU Homecoming Committee can vote for the winners! 1st place 200pts; 2nd place 150pts; 3rd place 100pts.

Bison Soccer | Sept. 24 | 1pm
Dacotah Field
Cheer on the Bison soccer team as they battle Omaha. Admission is free of charge! Participation percentage by hall: 1st place 100pts; 2nd place 75pts; 3rd place 50pts.

Homecoming Medallion Hunt | Sept. 25 - 28 | 8am - 2pm
Main Campus (Location will be somewhere on the main campus everyone can get to (inside or outside).
Each day at 8:00am the first clue will be given and another hint will be given every 2 hours until 2:00pm. Hints will be given via the @NDSURHA Instagram. The team who finds a medallion first must turn it into the Residence Life Office in West Bison Court upon finding it. Please make sure at least two members of your team turn in the medallion and take a photo before you leave. Each medallion found will be worth100 points.

Ice Cream Social and Pep Fest | Sept. 25 | 1pm - 3pm
West side of Memorial Union by Sugihara Hall
Come enjoy free ice cream, hear from the NDSU coaches, and meet the homecoming court. Participation percentage by hall:1st place 100pts; 2nd place 75pts; 3rd place 50pts.

Serve with the Herd | Sept. 26 | 9am - 6pm
Various locations
Give back and help our community by signing up to volunteer at locations throughout Fargo/Moorhead. Participation percentage by hall:1st place 300pts; 2nd place 200pts; 3rd place 100pts.

NRHH Campus Cleanup | Sept. 26 | 6pm - 6:45pm
East doors of Cater Hall
Clean up our campus and connect with others. Trash bags and gloves will be provided. Participation percentage by hall:1st place 100pts; 2nd place 75pts; 3rd place 50pts.

Make Your Own Spirit Pennant | Sept. 27 | 10am - 2pm
Student Activities Office
Show your homecoming spirit and make a pennant. Participation percentage by hall:1st place 100pts; 2nd place 75pts; 3rd place 50pts.

Bison Trivia | Sept. 27 | 7pm (Sign in at 6:45pm)
Ballroom, Memorial Union
Sit in teams and work together to answer Bison trivia! Points given to participation percentage by hall and winning hall.1st place 100pts; 2nd place 75pts; 3rd place 50pts; trivia winner 100pts.

Blood Drive Volunteer | Sept. 28 | 10am - 5pm
Cater Hall Multi-purpose Room
Volunteer to help with the blood drive by assisting donor check in. Each volunteer will receive 25 points. 

Blue Key Homecoming Show and Coronation | Sept. 28 | 7:30pm
Festival Concert Hall
Have some laughs and enjoy some dances and skits by NDSU student organizations, followed by the coronation of Homecoming Court Royalty. Participation percentage by hall: 1st place 200 points; 2nd place 150 points; 3rd place 100 points.

President Cook's State of the University Address | Sept. 29 | 10am
Festival Concert Hall
Participation by hall, plus a gift drawing for all student attendees: 1st place 300pts; 2nd place 200pts; 3rd place 100pts.

Homecoming Parade & Bison Bash | Sept. 29 | 4:30pm - 8pm (Parade starts at 5:30pm)
Churchill Field
The annual homecoming parade is back on NDSU’s main campus for the first time since 2012. The 2023 parade begins on the corner of University and 17th Ave. N., heading south before turning west on 12th Ave. Then kick off the weekend at the Bison Bash at Churchill Field with inflatables, a DJ, food trucks and activities. Participation percentage by hall: 1st place 100pts; 2nd place 75pts; 3rd place 50pts.

Bison Volleyball | Sept. 30 | 6pm
Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse
Get your tickets, cheer on the Bison, and be there for the announcement of the spirit point winners!
