Syllabus/Semester Mapping Help

Get set for a successful semester! Join us for snacks and the Semester Syllabus Mapping Event, designed to help you feel confident and prepared from the start. We’ll walk through your course syllabi together and help you map out important dates, exams, projects, and campus events all in one place. You’ll leave with a clear plan, organized schedule, and strategies to stay on track throughout the semester. Whether you’re juggling multiple classes, work, or other commitments, this session will help reduce stress and set you up for success. Bring your syllabi, planner, or device—and let’s get organized and start the semester strong!

TRIO SSS Resume Clinic

Join us for a special opportunity to get personalized assistance with creating and updating your resume in preparation for the upcoming NDSU Career Expo (Feb 4th, 11 am-3 pm) at the Fargo Dome. This is an incredible opportunity to prepare and update your resume for the career expo, where you can explore mentorships, internships, and full-time employment opportunities. Your resume will serve as your first impression, allowing you to build your professional network. Make an appointment today. We will also provide feedback as requested via email if students cannot meet virtually or in person. If this is the case, please send your resume to your Education Specialist with any specific questions or areas you would like us to review and provide feedback on.

FAFSA Helpweek

Haven’t finished your FAFSA for next year yet? No worries, TRIO SSS Education Specialists are here to help! This week, we’re setting aside time just for you. Make an appointment with your Education Specialist and get it done. Remember, the 2026–2027 FAFSA and the 2026-2027 NDSU Scholarship Application need to be completed by March 1 to qualify for many NDSU need-based scholarships for returning students.

TRIO SSS Career Expo Gear Up

Join us for three focused days of preparation leading up to the NDSU Career Expo on Wednesday, February 4th, 2025. Events will include special sessions on using AI tools to enhance resumes and cover letters. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in Career Bingo, which will provide a chance to win prizes while preparing for the Expo. This two-day series is designed to give you the skills and confidence you need to make a strong impression with employers and get job market-ready!

TRIO SSS Resume and AI Tutorial

In preparation for the upcoming NDSU Career Expo (Feb 4th from 11 AM to 3 PM) at the Fargodome, TRIO SSS is hosting a Resume and AI Workshop for all TRIO SSS participants. During this workshop, you’ll learn how to enhance your existing resume using AI tools. We will cover strategies for creating impactful bullet points, tailoring your resume to specific roles, checking for grammar and clarity, and improving overall formatting—helping you make your resume stand out.

Priority (Early) Registration Meetings

Get a head start on next semester!
Attending Priority (Early) Registration Meetings gets you placed on the Priority Registration list for Fall 2026 registration. This means you'll have the opportunity to register for classes before the rest of the campus, allowing you to create a schedule that best fits your needs and commitments.
During these meetings with your TRIO SSS Educational Specialist, you can discuss your academic goals, career aspirations, personal interests, and overall well-being. This is your chance to ensure you're on track and making the best choices for your college journey.

You’ll learn tips for tailoring your resume, writing effective cover letters, and preparing for interviews.
