RLND Class XI’s Seminar Three explored rural leadership through a systems-based lens across the Magic City region. Through industry tours, community leadership conversations, and discussions on ethics and accountability, the cohort examined how interconnected sectors contribute to rural vitality and long-term resilience.

RLND Class XI’s Seminar Two focused on leadership development, emotional intelligence, and workforce innovation across southeast North Dakota. Through education, industry visits, leadership assessments, and community conversations, the cohort explored how modeling values, building relationships, and leading with intention support growth and long-term impact.

Class XI began its RLND experience with a seminar that combined leadership reflection, regional discovery, and community building. Over four days, the cohort explored key economic sectors, engaged with local leaders, and deepened its understanding of how values, vision, and collaboration influence rural leadership across the state.

Rural Leadership North Dakota (RLND) Class X embarked on their 2023-2025 journey during an immersive Orientation Seminar in Bismarck from November 15-18, 2023. The seminar offered a thorough program introduction, engaging discussions on public policy, and practical insights from visits to Cloverdale Food, the ND Association of Rural Electric Cooperatives, and Menoken Farm. The seminar fostered networking, knowledge acquisition, and intentional goal-setting for the participants, paving the way for a transformative RLND experience.

Rural Leadership North Dakota (RLND) Class X held their Personal Leadership Development Seminar in Jamestown and Oakes, exploring ethical decision-making, leadership challenges, and visiting businesses. The seminar featured insightful discussions, panels on future leadership, and visits to various establishments, including hosting a Leadership Dinner with RLND alumni at the historic 1888 Stutsman County Courthouse in Jamestown.

Rural Leadership North Dakota (RLND) Class X gathered in Killdeer for their Rural Resources and Issues Seminar. From engaging sessions on Community Capitals to insightful talks from local leaders to visits with energy leaders, the highlight may have been the announcement of their International Study Seminar destination.

RLND Class X Seminar 4 was in Washington D.C. March 18-23, 2024. From navigating agricultural policy challenges to fostering community development, the seminar encapsulated a wealth of knowledge and collaborative spirit. Discover the transformative conversations and impactful lessons that unfolded during this engaging event.

RLND Seminar 5, held from June 24-28, 2024, delved into regional agriculture and rural development with a focus on collaboration and sustainability. From insights into community health impacts by Dakota Medical Foundation to exploring expanded facilities at Northern Crops Institute, the seminar showcased diverse perspectives and initiatives shaping the future of rural leadership.

RLND Class X explored the transformative power of communication in leadership during Seminar 6 in Grand Forks, with highlights including sessions on Emotional Intelligence, Crucial Conversations, and rural housing challenges. Through immersive site visits and engaging discussions, participants gained tools and strategies to foster innovation, strengthen teams, and drive positive change in their communities.

RLND Seminar 7 brought Class X to Bismarck for an in-depth exploration of state leadership in agriculture and rural policies. From committee hearings at the Capitol to a hands-on exploration of ND agriculture policy, and preparing for their international seminar to Ghana, Class X embraced the opportunity to learn, connect, and grow. Highlights included a discussion with Governor Kelly Armstrong, a panel on animal agriculture policy, and a cultural preview with authentic Ghanaian cuisine.

RLND Class X embarked on an unforgettable journey to Ghana, exploring agriculture, history, and leadership through immersive experiences. From vibrant cityscapes to cultural landmarks, the seminar provided valuable insights into global connections, sustainable practices, and an exploration of Class X's personal leadership development.

RLND Class X met in Belcourt, ND for Seminar 9, immersing themselves in the region's rich cultural heritage, community development, and innovative leadership practices. Through engaging with local leaders and businesses, the class gained valuable insights into sustainable agriculture, education, and entrepreneurship, deepening their understanding of rural resilience and community-driven progress.

Rural Leadership North Dakota Class X concluded its 18-month journey with a powerful final seminar in the Devils Lake region, exploring rural innovation, infrastructure, and intergenerational leadership. Framed by the theme From Community Engagement to Future Leadership, the seminar celebrated resilience, reflection, and a shared commitment to shaping North Dakota’s future.

The RLND Graduation Gala on November 17 marked the culmination of Class IX's four-year journey, honoring achievements and commemorated two decades of RLND's impactful presence in North Dakota. The evening featured a social hour, spirited fundraising through a silent auction and ticket sales for a mystery travel suitcase, and recognized the outstanding contributions of Class IX members. The RLND Council presented two awards and over $3,000 was raised for RLNDAA.
