Veggies for the Pantry
Veggies for the Pantry 2025 Collection Information
Veggies for the Pantry encourages local gardeners to donate their extra garden produce at our convenient locations for transport to food pantries. Please wash your hands before harvesting and deliver your items in a clean container. You can find us at locations below from 6:30-7:30pm each Monday until the Monday following the first frost.
We will be collecting on October 20, 2025 due to the unseasonable warmth. October 20 will be our final collection Monday for 2025. (updated 10/16/25)
Produce donated on Monday evenings will be delivered to Emergency Food Pantry and Dorothy Day Food Pantry by our team of Extension Master Gardeners on Tuesdays. This is a great opportunity to help those in need in our area, support the the work of NDSU Extension, and end the home-gardeners plight of too many cucumbers, tomatoes, apples, and peas!
Trinity Lutheran in Moorhead was about one ton ahead of The Bowler in Fargo on October 7th but a collosal squash donation on October 13th pushed The Bowler into the lead with 7859 pounds so far this year. Which location will collect the most pounds of fresh produce to benefit the Fargo Metro in 2025? Check back around Halloween for totals!
