Early-Entry Pathways

Start your NDSU degree early by taking online, asynchronous courses that count toward your college degree and general education requirements. You can complete them on your schedule—no campus visit required.

Pathway Guides show you which courses help you make the most of your time by fulfilling:

  • High school diploma requirements
  • NDSU general education requirements
  • Degree-specific requirements

Guides are available for a variety of degrees, each listing online courses that apply directly to that program.

How To Use A Pathways Guide

  1. Choose a degree pathway to see courses that count toward that program.
  2. Review the General Education pathways guide for classes that apply to all NDSU degrees.
  3. Identify courses appearing on both guides—they maximize credit overlap.
  4. Check with your school administrator to see if a course can also count toward high-school credit.
  5. Review semester availability for your chosen courses.
  6. Contact the early-entry advisor to get admitted and enrolled.

Note: Pathway guides are updated regularly as new online classes and degree options are added.
